I'm looking forward to see what you have for all of us to succeed. I enjoyed your sound track and agree with most of what you said. I know if I focus on my goals and work 16-18 hours a day, I could have or accomplish my goals... My problem is staying focused ! Jim

Hi Gary, This is brilliant. As you'll know from my postings on the UK Marketing forum, I share many of your views. Can I post the Audio on my new site? Best of luck David

Hi Gary Your audio talked a lot of logic and sense, however personally i am not driven by how successul someone else is in financial terms, what drives me is more living their lifestyle in terms of how they earn their living. I can't speak for others, however the way 'gurus' influence me is by a wish to duplicate what they do, rather than by measuring what their wealth is.

For many this is where evrything falls apart, as i have read on more than one occasion that thye only give you small chunks of what works, or they tell you what to do, but not how to do it, this is also from personal experience I mightt add. It took me a while to wake up to the fact that it's not in their interest to give you a system that created their wealth, which reinforces the point you make that much of the material they sell is crap, which is why i don't buy stuff anymore. I may be missing out as there maybe material out there that has been produced by someone with genuine motives, however i guess that is the price i have to pay.

I think if you took a straw poll you would find that most people are fairly sensible and realise that they won't earn millions from IM, but most would just like a good living as it's not just about the money it's also about the quality of life that IM can offer. For many earning £50k a year would more than satisfy them and enable them to do everything they want to do, however nice it may be to earn seven figures.

While i am sure some people have the wrong mindset, i beleive you would connect more with the people you are trying to reach by addressing the frustration that we feel in knowing that IM is likely to be the only life changing development in our lifetime that can truely has the ability to create true wealth for the average man in the street if the right formula is found.

I know from your own forum posts that you have mentioned from time to time the success you have had in building adsense sites and the benefits that have resulted from that. This is a good example of my frustration in knowing that others are doing this, but not knowing enough to do it myself (without buying another guru product) without wasting a lot of time making mistakes through a process of trial and error.

While mindset is important i think for many people as big a barrier for them is frustration in not knowing how to do various tasks that would enable them to get to where they would would like to be.

Sorry to ramble on a bit, but you did ask for comments! Geoff

I enjoyed listening to your sound track and I absolutely agreeing with you. We are what we think all day. I feel that people need to decide to give up their "storys" about what dosen't work in theirlife and focus what they desire. To me, success is subjective and is a on going proccess. I have to have a WORTHY goal for me to be, act toward and focus on in my daily life so that my "storys" can't use my life. Is O.K. to have the "story" but if the "story" stopping you from having or living the life you truly love, you have to LET IT GO then create another greater "story" other while just keep on suffering and don't complain about it.

If I desire to live a full life I have to make conscious choise moment by moment by moment to support my desires. By awake up to the thought that we have a CHOISE in our life is very powerful. People who listen to you or go to your web site can be successful too.:-) Because you're very passion about what you do and willing to tell the true about it. Thank you for being YOU and sharing your thoughts with the world. I wish you have a wonderful day!

Thanks! I needed this reinforcement. I came to this conclusion several years ago trying to follow a system that was working for a few. I eagerly wanted the success that they had until I realized they didn't have the success, they only acted as though they had it. I started noticing that they changed the system a bit each week and never really tried the things they had me doing. Ouch! I soon realized that they were not the gurus that I thought they were. But, I was doing the things they told me to do because I believed them and believed that they were working for them. Once I realized that it wasn't working for them, I quit doing it even though I had a little bit of success.

Now, I'm searching for the "how to" make it happen for me. I know this simple truth that you touched upon, just sponsor someone when you can and eventually success will happen. Thank you!

I make my living with Internet Marketing and do quite well. But it did take me a few years to get here. I know I have read your Ezine for years and more then once it has picked me up when things were down. I liked what you said about following your own path. Sometimes I do put too much pressure on myself to do things a certain way when what i need to do is relax and do them in the way that flows and fits with me. As often in the past what you said struck a cord. Thank you.

As Always Gary, You've hit the nail on the head. Excellent presentation! One thing people should do in "following the gurus" is get lots of information on how to accomplish their own goals. In your opinion, what's the best way for people filter through lots of information to help zero in on what it is they should be doing?

Posted By Jonathan Kraft at 2006-10-24 06:11:02

You have some wonderful ideas. Developing an abundance mentality should be, can be, and will be simple once we realize your mind is the Key. I really like your idea "change your view of the world and the world will change its view of you; and the people you attract. Acting in different ways will allow you to become more confident" I really appreciate your advice and want to wish infinite blessings upon your family, friends, and yourself!

Gary, as a Londoner myself it was good to hear a familiar voice. A voice that speaks a lot of sense, without all the hype that you hear so often on the Internet. You are so right to speak of leading a balanced life and that chasing the almighty dollar is not the only reason for living. Yes, we all want more money but not at the expense of family, health and contentment. Last year I was reading Harv T Eckers book Millionnaire Mindset and halfway through it I thought ' Hang on, this guy seems to imply that unless you aspire to be a millionnaire and do everything that it takes to become one you are not up to much '. I never read the whole book....I much prefer your approach Gary. Enjoy your family, look after your health, have fun doing the things you enjoy and sure, if you can spend a little time to make enough money to help do that...great. I really like what you say Gary....Good Luck with everything

Posted By Ron Kehoe at 2006-10-24 11:00:40

David : By all means you can post the audio on your site as long as you mention this url.

Jorge: I called attention to the fact that you probably won't become wealthy and successful because, let's face, the vast majority of people won't unless they change their mindset.

I certainly agree that you shouldn't measure your future by what has happened in your past...but, as most people will just continue to think and act the same way in their future as they have done in their past then it is worthwhile drawing peoples' attention to that fact.

Jonathan : The best way I have found to zero in to get closer to what you really want to do is listen to your gut instinct and look for how you feel about doing it.

If you are only doing something that others tell you that you SHOULD be doing, but something doesn't feel right - then it isn't for you!

By the same token, if you look upon something as challenging or inspiring - even if it seems difficult/almost impossible to see yourself achieving...then just go for it! Even if you don't reach your goal - you will still end up with a better idea of what really excites you about getting there.

Of course...there is more to it than that, but that should get you started!

To Our Success!

Gary,

Very authentic and "you." I'm impressed, and then again from the few fortunate times we were able to get together, I'm not in the least surprised.

I like your contrarian perspective and admire your genuine desire to help people. It certainly comes through in your presentation.

As an affirmed abundance mentality guy - one of the folks in my organization said I see the glass as nearly full - I'm glad to have you in my informal partnership. You add value just by being you. I'd love to make our partnership more formal, or at least connect again.

Take care, my friend.

I've taken an intereset in IM but I get so frustrated with reading ads that literally run for pages and pages on end before the bottom line is revealed, to sell you a product for hundreds of dollars that most people will probably never really be able to utilize to its full potential. It's the mindset of these individuals who run a lot of these ads for no other purpose than to milk you out of your money.

Your mentioning the words about a fellow lecturer who mentioned that he knows that there's only a small percentage of individuals who will actually use the products is so true for the majority of these individuals. A lot of people who buy these products because they liked what they heard based on the testimonials fail to realize that they also need to develope the mindset necessary to use them successfully. As a result they end up spending more money buying products and chasing down these pipe dreams needlessly.

Thanks for bringing the point home that you need to have a mindset to want to succeed in doing something you really like to do. Duplicating the work of others may work for some people but not for all of them. The "gurus" already know this and they are careful to stop just short of selling you the next additional tool or secret that you'll need to have in order to take matters to the next higher level.

Again, thanks. Rock on Dude!

Hi Gary, Interesting and straight forward as usual ! I agree with your comments about most of the gurus and those who follow them. You need to be genuine with yourself if you want to cultivate that abundance mindset.. and ofcourse work consistently with a clear objective is the key for success. Looking forward to your next newsletter. Warm regards, Suhail Abubakar

You are the only person that tells it like it is... Many gurus out there are just out to sell their course materials, not ever admitting that their material may only work for a small percentage of the population that they sell their courses to. What a lot of people must realize is that without a wealth generating vehicle, there can be no great wealth (monetarily) in their future. Alot of people for example start their own business and within a few short months are ready to give up. This simply will not work. You have to start a venture that you are passionate about, and stick with it until you make it work. I am very happy that I have subscribed to your newletter. I wish you great success in your future... Best Regards, Michael Edwards

Gary, you're one of the best and I agree with so much of what you say. I've learned some important lessons the hard way myself. And, like you, these days I would count myself as a cynical Brit (or a cynical Aussie now, I suppose, since I became a citizen in 2004). My online experiences in the 'Wacky World of Personal Development' over the past few years have given me a very low opinion of some very big names. Good luck with everything you do. I think one of the keys is accountability, which you mentioned was one of your stregnths. I have been a part of several programs, and not yet found one that really held me accountable to my goals and to taking action. If you have some ways to do that, there is a great need for it.

Twenty-someting years ago I trained for at college , and became, a computer programmer. This was in the relatively early days and I was getting on well so you could have said I had great prospects. However, after three months I jacked my job in, against everyone elses advice, because I wasn`t happy working in an office and felt that I should be doing something a bit more wortwhile. A few months later I bought a cheap caravan and started travelling. Im now 45 and have led a really rich and fulfilling life as what the press refer to as a new age traveller. During that time money has come and gone but i have always felt happy and comfortable doing what I was doing. Who knows how loaded I would be now if I had stuck with the computers, but I still feel jacking it in was one of the best decisions I have ever made. Like you say Gary, wealth is not just about money, but is more about your own spiritual fulfilment. All the best,Dave.

Hi Gary You do talk sense. We have been conditioned by the media to accept just the crumbs. "Civilized" society only assignes a nominal value(that does not refect true cost to the Planet or Society) to those items that are traded in line with the whims of those who control the market. Trading your time to fulfill the dreams of others just to get money to scape a living is what 90% do. Successful People live their own life and seek out the information they need from caring & successful ex turckers like Fank Garon & Nick James so that they can take the opportunities to make money that the majority miss. Hi Gary, I enjoyed listening to the audio presentation above! You validate what I've come to know over the years. For me the guru thing was about learning not to give my 'power' over to another person and asking them to 'guide' me in all ways...as if THEY had all the answers! I came to know that I always have the answers within me and sometimes I just need a little guidance to get to those answers. :) Most of the time I know what it is I want to devote my time and efforts to but the thing I get hung up on is there are SO many things that I want to pour myself into that I end up with too many projects to focus on! Now I'm working on breaking things down and becoming more streamlined in my interests and more disciplined in my approach. I know that I have no problem creating what I want when I am truly focused on what I want to create! It's wonderful to watch it unfold. The trick for me is still that I have to do as I said and focus on one thing at a time. Then the magic begins and seeming miracles start to happen and I attract and draw to me exactly what I need/want in order to become a success. Am I wealthy? In many ways I am. However, I'm not quiet in the place to where I don't ever have to worry about money needs again. :) That doesn't mean I won't get there...I'm just not quiet there yet. Thanks again! Itaya

Hi Gary, For me being organised, knowing what action I need to take on a daily basis helps me with my business. However, outside of work I lead a more relaxed existence, because for me switching off is important, my mind is more relaxed which helps me to think clearer about other aspects in my life. Making money is important for obvious reasons, but being able to enjoy the wealth of life outside of work is paramount.

Hi Gary, Read your Millionaire Mindset Workbook and I just listen to your 27-minute video presentation it’s interesting. In fact, most of things you’ve said are very true, as if you’ve read my mind. You’ve put me on track which I’ve been postponing since some months. Thanks Balan

Posted By Balan Rengasamy at 2007-12-05 15:52:20

Yes, I agree with much of what you say Gary. I found the law of attraction out some 40 years ago purely by accident so I don't 'worry' about money - I just know I will never be without. No, I'm not rich or wealthy by anyones' standards but after years of listening to 'Gurus', I came to the same conclusion as you. THEY make their money by selling a dream or vision. Motivating? Yes, but that's where most stop. You feel great coming out of an seminar only to come back to reality a few days later! I've tried many things including network marketing and as you quite rightly say, some people are just not comfortable with this method. It is important to find what you are comfortable with and see how that can work to generate an income. I agree with your contributor who said that most people would be happy with an income of 50K p.a. As a person who has only ever exceeded 20K once (with many hours of overtime) I can relate well to this! My criteria is to have as much FREE TIME as possible and a comfortable income. I recently attended a seminar where the presenter suggested we could become multi millionaires by travelling around the world talking and giving presentations and employ staff to manage websites and marketing! Nightmare!! Living out of a suitcase albeit staying in luxury hotels is not a lifestyle I care for. I have now I believe, found a way of satisfying my criteria and I'm working on that. It's early days but I'm using my many talents and seeing some progress so, watch this space so to speak! Thanks.

Most of the things you said in the video I agree with wholeheartedly. Although I am 50 years old, many of them I have just figured out wthin the past 2 years. Now that I am learning to welcome change in my life instead of resisting it, practicing healthier habits, follow my interests and passions and get rid of those things which do not serve me well, am living my values, etc. I am excited about life and find it fulfilling. I am also attracting people who are like-minded, like yourself with your audio, to me. I have learned that I had a lot of bad issues surrounding money, so I am doing something about it. In fact, taking small actions daily in the direction I want to go, is making major differences in my life! Do I have a lot of money yet? No. Am I happy and developing into a person I can enjoy looking at in the mirror because I now love myself? Yes. Is life fantastic? Much more of the time!!! This morning I got an email from someone saying I was inspiring to them. How great is that!

Posted By Beth at 2008-08-17 20:47:52

my greatest concern currently in my life is money. I discovered the Law of Attraction 2 years ago and so far i managed to find a true love and happiness in my life. I've been through rough patches in my life and that made me to focus more on my body and soul. I am in shape and healthy but my challenge now is money. I am happy about what I have achieved so far but when I check my bank account I don't like it at all. I know that I have to stay positive all the time but I don't have an idea as other people have to get out of debts and make money. i need you show me something, something that i am unable to see.

I was once on a jet stream started by Kristna Mirdi's words "You are not in the world the world is in you. My dreams were coming true. I loved what i was doing in life. I was an outstanding role model for my daughters. An outside event somehow interrupted the jet stream and changed my focus overnight. I was 100% fear driven, angry, compulsively jealous, and investigative. 9 years later the focus is beginning to come back to me. I am not afraid. How could I loose myself so quicklyand so thouroughtly?
